Art Exhibit in Hamilton

The Exhibit is dedicated to the prolific Italian-Canadian artist Giuseppe (Pippo) Agro’ (1912-2002), who made his home in Hamilton.  In addition to innumerable paintings on various subjects (especially of his hometown Racalmuto, Sicily), he also painted numerous works in 11 churches in Canada, including theLast Judgement behind the altar of All Souls Church in Hamilton.

The exhibit is a labour of love for the organizers: The new Hamilton Italian Centre (Sons & Daughters of Italy), The Sicilian Cultural Society of Hamilton and The Fratellanza Racalmutese, whose intent it is to honour and recognize the long and fruitful artistic career of Agro’.

This exhibit provides a unique opportunity to view the works of Giuseppe Agro’, collected from many individuals, and brought together in one venue: The Hamilton Italian Centre.

See the poster below for the dates and times of the exhibit.
