University of Calgary Founders’ Gallery
June 11 – Sept 11, 2022
In partnership with the University of Calgary, the Military Museums has a new exhibition in the Founders’ Gallery- ‘A Uniform Coat of Many Colours: Military Immigrants in Alberta.’
The exhibition explores and presents diverse stories of immigrants to Alberta who have undertaken military service in their countries of origin through the historical and contemporary scope, featuring first-person accounts, oral histories, art and artifacts. The exhibition is an international celebration of veterans from all six inhabited continents and the coming together of diverse communities to learn about our rich collective history, from the American Civil War (1861-65) to the present.
